Glencoe House is ideally situated for exploring the Highlands of Scotland. In the immediate vicinity, there are endless opportunities to walk, climb and mountain bike or stroll along a beach. Wildlife tours are also available on our doorstep whether by Landrover or by boat together with adventure sports for those who like to get their adrenaline pumping. For those interested in history, Castle Stalker and Inveraray Castle offer the chance of a glimpse back in time. In addition, the Glenfinnan monument of Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobite’s occupies a majestic position at the head of Loch Shiel. Our green-fingered guests interested in gardens have enjoyed visiting locations such as Arduaine Gardens near Oban, which can always be linked with a visit to the Oban distillery to keep everyone happy! The shoppers amongst you should not overlook The House of Bruar, which is 1.5 hours from the hotel and has a fabulous food hall and an abundance of cashmere. Photography tuition and guided tours are also available to get the very best photos of the area and the art galleries might allow you to take home a painting to remind you of your visit. In short, there is something for everyone!
