Built in 1905 and located at Edinburgh’s historic North Bridge, The Scotsman 5-star hotel resides in the former baronial offices of the Scotsman Newspaper. In 2001 this magnificent listed building was transformed into one of the most stylish luxury boutique hotels in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre. It is the only hotel in Edinburgh that can boast views over Edinburgh Castle, The Firth of Forth, Leith, Princes Street and Carlton Hill.
When converting the newspaper printing house into a luxury boutique hotel, care was taken to keep all the original architectural features and layout intact. As a result, no two rooms are alike and each bedroom at The Scotsman is individually designed to offer a unique experience with every visit.
“First of all, thank you for an extraordinary trip - epic even. Most of our group, myself included, travel extensively around the world and we all came away saying this was one of the best trips ever. You and Bill - and the rest of the crew - did a fantastic job. ”
- Patrick Rona, Singapore
“There are no words to thank you for setting up such a wonderful week for our golf trip to Scotland. What started out as a golf trip, turned into so much more because of Scotland for Golf. I doubt if other companies can provide the personal touch and laughter we experienced all week. Those special touches will not be forgotten. I have so many wonderful memories and pictures. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness, patience and humour. I had such a lovely time each time that you drove us from place to place and shared your favourite sites and stories with us.”
