The elegant 18th century Georgian manor house sits on a narrow isthmus facing the wild Atlantic with beautiful Lough Currane on its eastern perimeter. The Currane River bisects the 50 acre estate as it flows into Ballinskelligs Bay. The Manor was built by the Butler family in 1790 and the estate was called “Waterville”.
Aside from its comfort and charm, the four star residence has 13 bedrooms en-suite, sauna, steam room, health facility with massage room and billiard room. Guests are free to use the private Fazio designed practice facility and have preferential tee times at Waterville Golf Links. Guest can fish in the famous Butler’s Pool and are given access to the private rivers and lakes surrounding Waterville House, the most famous sea trout and salmon fishery in Ireland. The ancient Weir of Butler’s Pool is listed in the book, Iveragh Peninsula Archaeology, and is part of Ireland’s Salmon Research program, supplying critical spawning migration data.

"I'm so glad I signed up with Scotland for Golf while visiting St. Andrews. David, my instructor, was professional, attentive, and an excellent communicator. The facilities at their establishment were top notch. Since coming back home I can already see improvements in my golf game. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike."
"George hosted a fantastic round of golf around St Andrews. His coaching was pertinent, useful and probably the best player lesson ever. Thank you 😊"
