Enjoying some of the best views of all three Gullane courses, Gullane No. 3 looks across Aberlady Bay to the Firth of Forth and Edinburgh beyond. Spectacular and tricky, Gullae No. 3 is a course that demands a deft touch and a cool head. Forget the modest yardage; this is a course for straight hitting shot-makers.
Designed by two time Open Champion Willie Park Jr, Gullane No. 3 celebrated its centenary in 2010 and has matured to become a much loved destination for visiting golfers. Favoured with the same impeccable links turf and smooth running (albeit smaller) greens as its older neighbours, Gullane No. 3 is maintained to the same high standards from tee to green. This is no soft option, despite the lack of yards the course still presents the classic Gullane links challenge of strategic course management, sloping greens and numerous bunkers to be avoided – all played out in stunning scenery.
The type of grass is predominantly Bent on the fairways and Fescue on the greens. There are 67 bunkers on the course and the average green size is 450m Sq. There are 150 yard posts on each hole which mark the distance to the middle of the green.

"I'm so glad I signed up with Scotland for Golf while visiting St. Andrews. David, my instructor, was professional, attentive, and an excellent communicator. The facilities at their establishment were top notch. Since coming back home I can already see improvements in my golf game. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike."
