Course Description

The Dublin Golf Club was instituted in May 1885, pioneered by a Scottish banker called John Lumsden. It later received its Royal designation in 1891.

Located on an island nature reserve, Royal Dublin is home to everything you would expect from a true links course.

A challenging course, Royal Dublin has hosted all top Irish championships, beginning with the Irish Amateur Open back in 1894 - Also the year that Old Tom Morris visited for 2 matches. It has also regularly hosted the Irish Open, Irish PGA, and the Irish Amateur Close.
