Day 2 in Orlando
Enjoying a wonderful day in Orlando playing the Bears Club and eating at Tiger Woods Restaurant Posted by GeorgeBears Golf Club
From Dye Preserve the Professionals from Scotland for Golf headed to the home of the “Golden Bear” the Bears Club. Again on an invite this time from Jeremy Brown they teed it up at Jack’s Private Members only Club.
In the clubhouse you can view iconic pictures and a life size statue of the celebration following Jack’s putt on 17 that lead to his 18th Major win at Augusta in ‘86 at the age of 46.
The course is outstanding in design and condition, one of the finest I have ever played. Another treat is that you can catch through the trees sight of the wonderful properties owned by the worlds top players.
JoeyD Golf
Our playing partner at the Bears Club Rob Roy, no not a Scot but a Canadian took us off to JoeyD Golf. A fitness performance centre that trains top sportsmen. It started with Vijay Singh now that have Dustin Johnson under the microscope along with many other top Tour Players that reside in Florida. It also features Club Craft - precision custom golf club fitting. Interesting? Check it out.
Eating in Jupiter
After playing the outstanding Bear’s Club what better an idea than to visit an establishment owned by another truly outstanding champion but this time for food! So it was off to “Woods Jupiter” The restaurant is Tiger’s Flagship Restaurant and is located at Harbourside. The theme like many in Florida is a sports bar with more TV screens than you could wish for! No matter your favourite sport you can watch it here! The food is good and not overpriced and I believe Tiger often frequents his own restaurant on a Friday? Worth a visit for sure.
