The course has a well deserved reputation for some of the best maintained greens in Scotland. The main course which incorporates nine of the original and the the nine new holes is the Barrassie Links and offers one of the most challenging links layout in Scotland. It has already hosted the British Amateur Championship along with Prestwick, the European Youths, a Final Open Qualifying and in 2004 the venue for the Junior Open.

Machrihanish
Machrihanish offers a series of holes the likes of which you will find nowhere else. These include a miltitude of intriguing blind shots across the most appealing undulations, to immaculate greens. There is a nurturing temperate wind off the Gulf Stream. Writing about
Machrihanish has causes us more reflection than perhaps any course we have ever described. This is due to the fear that such a special place should perhaps be left alone.
18 Holes, Par 71, 6225 yards
Turnberry, Ailsa

The 9th oldest golf club in the world. Less than an hour from Glasgow, Gailes is a challenging links course - tough and traditionally Scottish - consistently selected by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews as a final qualifying venue for the Open Championship. Gailes lies in the heart of Scotland's Ayrshire Golf coast.
18 Holes, Par 71, 6535 yards
Irvine "Bogside" Golf Club nestles near some of the big names in Ayrshire with Royal Troon and Old Prestwick not too far away. This stretch of Scottish coastline is ideal for links golf and Bogside, which rolls and bobs over ancient dune terrain, divided by gorse and lots of heather, is just one of many great courses built between the town, a racecourse and the muddy River Irvine.
18 Holes, Par 71, 6478 yards
This is a unique course in that it is only two holes wide; the holes form an arrangement around the centrally located clubhouse. Being 6639 yards long, it proves a test to the average golfer especially when the strong westerly wind picks up.
18 Holes, Par 71, 6639 yards
