The Town
The town of St Andrews is home to Scotland's oldest University and is a discerning shoppers paradise with a varied selection of individual shops, bars, cafes and restuarants. Along with stunning architecture and a four mile beach it is easy to see why it is a favourite holiday destination. There are many choices of accommodation in the town centre: traditional guest houses, three, four and five star hotels all within easy walking distance.
Practice Facilities at St Andrews
In St Andrews there are seven public courses, two modern clubhouses and a golf practice centre. All the courses and facilities are managed and maintained by the St Andrews Links Trust. The practice centre is now one of the finest equiped facilities in Europe: 22 indoor bays, 34 outide bays including a grass area, 2 large chipping and pitching greens, 3 practice bunkers and a large putting area. There is a state of the art Club fitting Centre, 3 swing analysis studios, a custom fitting studio, a club customisation workshop and a conference room. The surrounding courses include the Old Course, New Course, Jubilee, Eden, Strathtyrum and Balgove Courses.
Getting to St Andrews
Getting to St Andrews is possible by rail or road. The town is situated 50 miles from Edinburgh where you should arrive by air. On arrival in Scotland you can be collected by us (see airport transfer), hire a car, or take the train to Leuchars (six mile journey by taxi or bus)
